The Pipeline Program in MLB The Show 26 gives players a clear look at baseball's next wave, and it does so without asking them to spend anything. Five prospect cards sit at the centre of the programme, with ratings reaching 98 and 99 overall. If you are building a new squad, MLB 26 stubs can help with other roster needs, but these rewards come through gameplay and steady progress.

Two Cards Worth Chasing Early

Tyler Bremner may be the most interesting arm in the group. The Angels selected him second overall in 2025 after his time at UC Santa Barbara. His Double-A ERA sits at 4.71, so the card is not built only around recent statistics. It leans into his draft status, pitch mix and long-term upside. You will notice the difference when a starter can change speeds, work both sides of the plate and avoid relying on one pitch. Caleb Bonemer deserves similar attention. The White Sox shortstop has produced a.933 OPS and 31 home runs in 408 at-bats in Double-A. That sort of pop from the middle infield is hard to overlook.

How the Five Rewards Compare

The other three cards bring very different strengths. Josiah Hartshorn, a Cubs switch-hitter, offers useful coverage at first base and in the outfield, while his.906 OPS in A-ball gives the bat a solid foundation. Reds catcher Alfredo Duno brings the loudest raw power, including a 487-foot homer this season. Nationals shortstop Eli Willits is the youngest card at 18, yet his.879 OPS and switch-hitting ability point to a player who can set the table.

What Players Should Watch For

Ratings tell only part of the story. Before choosing a lineup spot, look at how each card fits your style. A few practical checks can save time.

Test Bremner's pitch movement against patient hitters.
Use Bonemer where extra infield power matters most.
Try Duno in the cleanup spot if your catcher lacks drive.
Use Willits and Hartshorn when switch-hitting flexibility is useful.

A Programme Built Around Future Stars

This programme works because every reward has a reason to exist. Some players want a dependable starter. Others need a catcher who can change an inning with one swing. Younger rosters may value Willits' speed, while competitive lineups could prefer Bonemer's power at shortstop. Since all five cards are available through the programme, you can try them in different roles and keep the ones that feel right. That leaves room to spend buy cheap MLB 26 stubs on the parts of your squad that still need attention.
